CrisisCompass is designed and led by James Neilson CPP, a certified security, crisis and resilience professional with over 20 years’ experience across diplomatic, corporate and consulting environments. James’ career includes:
High-threat diplomatic security postings, including service in Afghanistan
Big 4 risk and resilience consulting to state/federal government agencies and corporates
Senior executive security and crisis leadership roles
This breadth of experience ensures every framework, template and engagement is built from operational reality - not theory.
James holds advanced qualifications including:
Graduate Diploma of Crisis Leadership
Bachelor of Management
Diploma of Security and Risk Management
Certificate IV in Government Investigations
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
ASIS International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) accreditation (2023 onwards)
Additionally, James is a member of the ASIS International Victoria chapter.
